Bio-Aspartic Polyaspartic Polyurea
The first polyurea floor coating to be included in a polyurea floor coating at the time of manufacture, Bio-Aspartic provides continuous, built-in protection and will not leach from the surface. Because it also cannot be wiped or washed away, it provides lifetime protection for the floor.
Bio-Aspartic is a silver ion antimicroibial technology that reduces bacteria, mold, and fungi to help prevent the risk of cross-contamination. It's ideal for any hygienic environment. While bacteria, mold, and fungi are found in every environment (and are a natural part of everyday life), even in the cleanest suroundings, microbes will begin to multipy - sometimes to harmful levels. Some of the deadliest bacteria, including MRSA, E.coli, and Listeria, can be caught via cross-contamination.
Silver, in the form of silver ions, is the active ingredient utilized in Bio-Aspartic. Silver has been used for centuries for its abilities to aid preservation, and is used extensively in the healthcare sector such as in wound dressings and catheters. Bio-Aspartic, when included in our Rock Solid floor coating during manufacturing, provides built-in antimicrobial protection 24/7. It reduces the levels of bacteria by up to 99% over a 2-hour period, and up to 99.99% over a 24-hour period.
